Off piste ski guiding in Verbier, Switzerland

After a sunny spring period over the last  two weeks we can now finally say that winter is back in Verbier. Yesterday morning the clouds came in and brought more than 40 cm of snow above 2,400 meters and about 15 cm in town. With mixed weather forecast over the coming days we are looking forward to a week of fresh tracks in the March powder!

The temperature is always  the main factor in the snowfall at this time of year. Until last night it rained in town in Verbier and so we only received 15 cm below 2,200 meters. For the next few days the freezing level will be between 1,000 and 1,500 meters, which will be great if any new snow comes in.

Fresh snow in Verbier

The current snow condtions in the 4Vallees are still good and we can be sure that we will be able to ski until the end of the season. In Verbier there is a base layer of 30 cm and 184 cm on top of Attelas. With the expectation of fresh snow this week we are looking forward to some deep powder turns at one of our secret off piste spots!
